A history of innovation
Armstrong has a history of innovation and wise use of resources. Our flooring business began in 1909 by recycling cork waste
to make linoleum for homes and commercial buildings.
Armstrong is the exclusive manufacturer of Migrations BioBased Tile, a revolutionary new flooring material made from rapidly renewable ingredients. We have the largest industry portfolio of
ceilings and suspension systems with high recycled content; low- and no-added formaldehyde ceiling and wall options like
Ekos WoodWorks; and the industry’s first closed-loop Ceiling Recycling Program that has diverted more than 30,000 tons of construction waste from landfills.
